HTC Desire 12 Details Leaked

HTC Desire 12 Details Leaked

HTC have had some hard times over the fast few months. Chialin Chang, the president of smartphones for HTC resigned at the end of 2017. This coincided with the fact that Google recruited some of their best engineers to work on their Pixel phone. And just when things couldn’t get much worse for HTC, someone has leaked the details for the new HTC Desire 12.

Details and design specifications of the upcoming HTC Desire 12 were leaked after the website Android Authority got hold of a retail box for the handset. Unfortunately for HTC, the box highlights some of the biggest selling points for the latest smartphone model.

There have been rumours of a new Desire model in the pipeline for quite a while now. Despite HTC giving it the codeword ‘Breeze’. Now that we have discovered the retail box for the new HTC Desire, the game is up. The specifications are already out there for the world to see. This might not be good news for HTC, but for us tech-hungry gadget lovers, it’s great news.

So what can we expect to see on the new HTC Desire 12? First, there’s a 64bit, quad-core MediaTek chip that gives 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a micro SD card slot for expanding the storage even further. And in true HTC fashion there are two nano SIM slots.

The Desire 12 boasts a 12MP rear-facing camera that can shoot video in 1080p, as well as a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. The screen compliments both of these cameras very well. A 5.5 inch, 18:9 aspect ratio display will give you 1,440 resolution, which is equivalent to HD+.

Strangely, the only things that people haven’t leaked about the HTC Desire 12 are the release date and expected price. Crucially, there are no leaked pictures either, despite it being highly likely that at least one would have appeared on the retail packaging. They may have deliberately withheld the release of the pictures in order to increase speculation. So it’s probably safe to expect these to appear in the coming weeks.

Of course, the leak could be deliberate in order to raise PR for the company prior to the launch of the Desire 12. The only way to know for sure what the new HTC smartphone will look like, is to do it the old fashioned way and wait for the model to be officially released. OF course we will keep you updated on the Sell My Phone blog once we know the details!
