About Envirofone

Envirofone claims to be "the UK’s leading mobile phone recycler" and they apparently have paid out over £160 million over the past 10 years - neither of these claims have been verified by SellCompare however.

Selling your old mobile or device with Envirofone and making some money could not be easier.Over 4 million people in the UK have sold their mobiles to Envirofone. You can sell any make of mobile phone to them including smart phones e.g. you can sell your iPhone, sell a Blackberry, HTC or Samsung Galaxy. People also sell a wide selection of older mobile phones like a Nokia 6300 or an iPhone 4 to help pay for a new phone that they really want.So if you want to sell your mobile phone and earn some money go to Envirofone. The company believes in the 3 R’s- Recovery, Reuse and Recycling. Envirofone could offer you cash for your phones that you are not anymore using. Don’t leave it lying around, sell and let it find a new home. Mobile phones that are dated or not trendy in the UK, can get a new lease of life somewhere else in the world. A better option than keeping it as a spare, plus you get some cash.

In some cases they aren’t able to sell on the mobile phones, the team will send the mobile to a registered recycling company where they use the parts or break the phone down for plastic or glass. As the UK’s largest and most trusted mobile phone recycling company, they guarantee 100% price satisfaction or their phone back, FREE of charge (A few device/phone recyclers charge to have your phone returned).

They send you the Enviropack, so you can return your phone packaged safe and securely and don’t have to spend hours looking for a box. Moreover, you will get paid straight into your bank account with no faffing. They want you to sell your mobile phone fast and get your money quick, so they have kept it as straightforward as possible. Here are the steps:

  • Search for your mobile at just need to know the make and model of the mobile phone you are selling or you can search using the phones IMEI.
  • Select how you’d like them to pay you - they can put the money straight into your bank or send you a cheque. They will send you the Enviropack , it comes with its own secure, safe box so you don’t have to spend time looking for one.Sending your phone to them is free.
  • They only contact you by email, so when they receive your phone they will email you straightaway. As soon as they have tested your phone, they will process your payment.Royal Mail now class mobile phones as a restricted item when sent in the post. This doesn’t mean that you can’t send them, it simply means that mobile phones must be switched off and sent in a secure, rigid container such as a box and presented at the Post Office counter.
  • Some recyclers think you should find your own box, they don’t.They have their own testing centre at Envirofone.
  • Once they receive your phone, they will test it to checkit works. If they find anything wrong with it like water damaged, missing button, faulty screen etc…they will grade the phone depending on the market value. They might have to revise their price but if they do they will let you know immediately.

Then you’ve got 3 days to accept or decline the offer. If you do decide to decline their offer, then they just send your phone straight back, free of charge.

Environmental credentials of Envirofone

As the name suggests they claim to take their environmental responsibilities very seriously. They believe in a sustainable environment and that is why reuse is always their first port of call in the recycling process. Slinging one mobile phone in the bin might appear to be OK. But there are an estimated 4 mobile phones per household in the UK that are not used.

First there is the money that would be wasted, then the staggering size of the mountain of electronic waste.98% of the mobile phones they receive are reused. In most cases they are sold to be refurbished and go on to developing countries where they can play a major part in helping to develop communication networks. The reuse of mobile phones offers a valuable infrastructure in these countries. Some phones can find themselves back on sale in the UK or Europe. If a phone is beyond economical repair then they send the phone off to a recycling plant in the UK.

Free envelope arrived. Posted phone. Messed it up as I should've taken it to the post office but put in mail box by mistake. Emailed them. Customer service emailed straight back. Don't worry, your phone is here. Paid me the full price no problem. Will never EVER use any other company to recycle my old phone. Excellent service from...

Easy to arrange, fast service and good prices paid.

iPhone 7 ordered arrived, next day and looked brand new - not a mark on it. Very pleased. I was dubious at buying a used phone, but this one is excellent. Includes a 12 month warranty and a huge saving on a new phone! Easy tracking of order. Only gripe, included headphones not compatible with iPhone 7.

Bought a refurbed LG G5 from here. Arrived the next day which was handy as my LG G3 had blue screened. The packaging was basic and whilst you get headphones you do only get a charging lead and not the plug. Phone was visually in good condition though turned out to have an issue where it cut out at 15% battery. Envirofone paid for ...
