About Mobile Cash Mate

MobileCashMate (sometimes called MCM) is part of an established recycling company specialising in the safe processing of electrical and electronic equipment.MCM provides mobile phone recycling and re-use initiatives, offering a fast, efficient and free way to sell mobile phones for cash. Their aims are simple- to give their customers the best value when they recycle old phones and not put waste from old phones into the environment. With an estimated 20 million new phones being pumped into the UK mobile market each year, it is important that they recycle old mobiles in line with environmental legislation, in particular the WEEE Directive.

MCM is accredited to Environmental Management System BSI ISO 14001, as well as holding Waste Management and Waste Transfer licenses. Their heavy investment into recycling machinery / technology and their environmental certifications demonstrate a genuine sincerity to protect the environment.Use their free service, get some cash for mobiles you no longer need and their industry experts will make sure that your mobile phone is re-used and recycled in the correct legislative manner. MCM buys mobiles from all the main manufacturers including Blackberry, HTC ,LG Phones, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson. The MCM rep told us that they understand your decision to use a recycling service is to give you a hassle free way to sell your device. They claim to genuinely care about you, their customer and constantly strive to provide an efficient, reliable and fast service. They claim to continuously test the recycling market to ensure that they are providing a high standard of service and from this research, the team simply wants to provide you with the highest price in the recycling market based on the condition of your device and getting that money to you as quickly as possible with faster payments often hitting your account the same day. All this while offering great customer service with a personal, open and honest approach.

These are the reasons why you may want to choose MCM: They claim to pay more and they pay quite quickly, with free track delivery service. Send your device for free by simply requesting a returns pack when you use their website or to save time, use their print label option.

Are Faulty, Damaged devices accepted?

They claim to accept faulty and damaged devices but check reviews to be sure. MCM claim is important to them that you feel that you are receiving a high standard of customer service. Moreover, they know that should you have any questions or queries you might wish to speak to a person. Their dedicated customer service team strives to provide a personal and efficient service. If you don’t want to accept their price, they will send your device back to you completely free of charge. But think carefully, experience tells them you may not get a higher price elsewhere. Their simple 3 step process gives you a hassle- free way to get cash for your phones and tablets.

  1. STEP ONE - COMPLETE YOUR ORDER Search for your device to get an ‘up to’ website valuation. Choose your payment method (bank transfer or cheque). Print a freepost label or request a freepost pack.
  2. STEP TWO - POST YOUR DEVICE Deactivate Apple products from your iCloud account. Wipe all of the data from your device but if you forget to do this, no worries, they will wipe it for you when they receive the device. Use the packaging they provide in their freepost pack or if you cannot wait for the freepost pack, feel free to use your own packaging. Either way, make sure that your Order ID number is displayed either on the address label or pop a note inside of the package. Take the package to your local Post Office and ask for a proof of posting receipt and/or tracking reference number.
  3. STEP THREE - GET PAID Upon receipt of your device at MobileCashMate, they will send you an email to confirm that they have booked your order on to their system. Your device will then be tested by their inspection team. Their checks are thorough and include a full functionality test and inspection of physical condition.

Once condition is determined they will do one of two things; or Pay you the full website 'up to' price, if your device is as new condition. They will email you a final valuation price based on the condition of your device. You will have the choice to accept or reject this price and should you choose to reject, they will send your device back to you completely free of charge. However, it should be noted that they guarantee to offer you the best price in the recycling market based on the condition of your device so think carefully before asking for your device back. They are unable to hold prices once a device is sent back to you.

Bank transfer payments are faster transactions but you must click to accept the price before 2pm (weekdays only) to receive the funds by midnight that same day. Transactions processed after this time will be paid into your account by midnight the following day.

Cheques are posted out by second class Royal Mail on the same day that they process your device and/or you accept the final valuation price (orders must have been processed before 2pm to get same day posting, otherwise, cheques will be posted out the following day).

Save yourself the trouble and AVOID this company completely. After a week of waiting, my Samsung S7 was considered to be worth 17.60 instead of 170, because the phone had 'screen burn' ... What????????????????What the hell is 'screen burn'? I had to look it up. Suffice to say, when I did... I knew this company were taking the abso...

Awful - just awful - DO NOT use these. Their offers online are quite clearly just a lie to lure you in. They took nearly 2 weeks to provide me with an offer - which was reduced by £50 for a perfectly working Iphone 6s, due to 'a slight scuff on the side of the phone'. Its a scam - they are useless.

People be aware . Top online scammers. They will try try to attaract you by giving some good quote 10-20 extra than other genuine seller from search engine optimization technique.after reviewing my phone(2 weeks later) they said my screen quality is not good and they can only offer £26 instread of £226(which is a joke) so I asked...

Absolutely dreadful. Took a month to deal with my claim offered 10% of original offer and nothing wrong with phone at all. Complete con and very very poor service. Can’t speak to anyone. Stay away at all costs. Use other reputable providers may get 5/10 pounds less but at least u will get. Mobile cash mate is a dreadful company
